The spirits dance like fire in the sky The three cubs—Kallik, Toklo, and Lusa—along with their shape-shifting companion, Ujurak, stand on the edge of the sea-ice under the blazing Northern Lights. The land has come to an end, but the bears' journey is far from over. At the start of the book, the bears are watching the fire in the sky. Ujurak says that they must go onto the ice much to Kallik's delight, and after some hesitation, the others agree. Lusa looks in a pond before they go, and sees how much she had grown. The next morning, they leave the land to go onto the ice, with Kallik to lead them.

Monument Sky on Fire is a novel of survival in extraordinary circumstances. The book emphasizes the importance of cooperation in the face of adversity. It also spotlights compassion for the weak and having resolve in opposition to corrupt leadership.4/5. Fire in the Sky has, until now, only been available in Japanese. With only one map and counters, Fire in the Sky packs years of prior Pacific design attempts and experience into an effort that beautifully distills the essence of the conflict and serves as further proof that great things do /10().   Fire In The Sky’s climax is a tour de force, as scary now as it was 30 years ago. Part of that is the very effective special effects from Industrial Light & Magic—the practical creation of the alien ship, with its womblike organic chambers, and the cruelly curious occupants, with their Nazi-doctor tray of medical torture : A.A. Dowd.
